AIS Success Journey Report

The objective of this Report is to provide an analysis of the AIS success journey by understanding into AIS's business strategy and the strategic decisions that the operator has made relative to three key areas:

  1. From the inception of 4G through 5G, has applied the strategy of rapid deployment of network

  2. The consumer business, what leads to the current pricing

  3. Enterprise business, what is the strategy and what is the logic behind it

Thoth Advisory developed a financial model (Income Statement, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, and Capital Expenditures) in order to better understand the underlying dynamics (ARPU, subscribers, 4G migration, 5G adoption, RAN energy consumption) driving and defining the boundaries for the business to grow.

Thoth Advisory Perspective on 5.5G Technology - Huawei

In the White Paper, Thoth Advisory reviewed briefly the path to 5.5G and take a closer look at how 5.5G will impact and drive the acceleration of four broad categories of use cases: connected people, connected families, connected things (industrial), and connected vehicles.

Thoth Advisory Perspective on Network Resilience - Huawei

In the White Paper, Thoth Advisory discuss some of the innovations that are being developed by the industry to address 5G Core reliability. We begin by looking at the situation with global network incidents that have been reported in the public domain around the globe. We then provide a brief review of the theory of reliability and its mathematical probability foundations.

We then take a closer look at just what are "network fault", how to detect them and how to measure parameters that indicate faults. Empirical evidence has shown that there can be many root causes for signal storms - a link going offline from cutting a cable in the data center, to software upgrades gone awry, to physical or logical links within the 4G and 5G core failing and causing a knock-on effect. As a result, a strategy for network reliability detection, measurement and remedies is of paramount importance.

A successful strategy, which includes topology, ensures that no single network Element (NE) will become a single point of failure.
